Historical Data Collection
Collecting historical bills and intervals
(pricing per meter)
$15.00 $14.25 $13.50 $12.75 $12.00

After a customer authorizes a data request, you can choose meters for which you want their historical billing and usage data. If you don't collect data for meters found and listed from a data request, we won't charge for those meters (no surprise charges!).

When we collect the historical data for a meter, we look for historical bills (usually utilities provide a year or more) and intervals (if they utility provides them to their customers). If we are not able to find any data for a meter, we give you a credit back for the cost of that historical data collection. Our rule of thumb is: you don't pay if you don't get data!

For software integrations, historical data collections occur when you make a request to the historical-collection endpoint. We automatically determine which meters are initial historical data collections and which meters are data refreshes.

Manual historical refreshes
(pricing per meter-month)
$3.00 $2.85 $2.70 $2.55 $2.40

If you have previously collected the historical data for a meter, and want to refresh the dataset to update it with the most recent history, just click "Refresh Data" for the meters you want.

We count the number of months to be collected since we last refreshed, and charge per meter per month updated, up to the cost of a normal historical collection (that way, your cost for refreshes is capped).

If you want to refresh more than once per month, we round up the month count, so each refresh will cost at minimum the month's rate. If that doesn't work for you (e.g. if you need daily or weekly interval refreshes), we're happy to work out a custom package with you if you contact us.

For software integrations, data refreshes occur when you make a request to the historical-collection endpoint. We automatically determine which meters are initial historical data collections and which meters are data refreshes. As noted above, we cap the cost of data refreshes at the price of historical data collections, so you never have to worry about being charged more than that.

Ongoing Monitoring (paid annually)
Monthly updates
(pricing per meter per month)
$2.00 $1.90 $1.80 $1.70 $1.60

Ongoing monitoring is an easier way of doing data refreshes. All you need to do is tell us how frequently you want us to refresh, and we'll automatically refresh your meter's dataset on a regular basis.

For monthly updates, we will automatically refresh data on a monthly basis. If we have previously collected bills for the meter, we will attempt to proactively refresh within a few days of the monthly billing cycle. That way, you don't have wait a full month for the next bill.

For annual billing, you will pay for 12 months of monitoring up front, and we will give a 33% discounted rate for monitoring that meter. When the next year happens, we will automatically debit your package balance by the amount for the next year of monitoring. If you want to turn off monitoring, simply click the "Ongoing Monitoring" option for that meter and set the frequency to "Off".

For software integrations, ongoing monitoring can be controlled in the ongoing-monitoring endpoint.
