In order to collect your billing and usage history, we must log into your online utility account. You are authorizing UtilityAPI to act on your behalf and log into your online account.
- We encrypt all passwords and user information using strong security protocols. All decryptions and logins are logged.
- We never share your login with anyone, including the party listed above. They will not have access to your online account.
- We consider our access read-only and we only collect data upon explicit authorization. Your online account will not be changed.
- Data is never sold or shared with any other parties. We charge the party above a fee collecting the data, but that's it.
- You can always see the data we've collected, and you revoke access at anytime, no questions asked.
We meet and exceed the U.S. Department of Energy requirements for their SmartMeter DataGuard Standard.

- Your meter intervals, if available.
We do not collect credit card numbers or any other bank information.

UtilityAPI only shares the data you asked us to collect with the party you explicitly authorize and no one else.
- We do not share your data with any other parties.
- We do not sell, aggregate, anonymize, or bundle your data.
- We delete your login and data immediately if you revoke.
- We charge the above party a fee for the service of collecting data, not for the data itself.
