UtilityAPI is seeking an experienced, innovative marketing and communications professional with hands-on experience in digital marketing, campaign automation, and storytelling to take our marketing to the next level. We’re looking for a trailblazer who can lead the refinement of our marketing strategy, create campaigns and strengthen our brand. This professional is in a key strategic role that interfaces with every department across the organization, and needs creativity, organization, and efficiency to best elevate messaging, collateral, and our overall brand across multiple channels.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and direct marketing, communications, market research, and brand-management strategies across the company.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to build and implement an integrated digital marketing strategy to support our growth.
  • Build, optimize, measure, and continuously refine our lead generation and brand awareness efforts.
  • Identify target audiences and personas within our addressable market, attract these decision-makers into the sales funnel, and support the conversion of these leads into closed accounts.
  • Oversee the design, creation, execution, and optimization of digital campaigns.
  • Take leadership in data-based growth experimentation: build A/B testing programs for landing pages, conversions, forms and campaigns; identify new media partnerships and lead acquisition strategies; collaborate to develop new content opportunities. Use data to create insights and practical plans for continued growth.
  • Measure and report on the performance of all marketing initiatives. Own metrics and KPI tracking across all channels.
  • Hire a team of at least two individuals to support content, digital and product marketing.
  • Lead digital advertising campaign and marketing tool budgets on a continual basis.
  • Reports directly to the SVP of Business Development and Marketing.


  • Superior knowledge of B2B marketing practices, particularly experience marketing to specialized verticals, enterprise and c-suite.
  • Superior knowledge of common growth marketing and demand generation strategies including but not limited to: account-based marketing (ABM), digital (re)targeting, expansive SEM strategies, CRM/automation, paid advertising and trade programs, and website optimization.
  • Experience designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Experience managing corporate social media accounts and websites.
  • Comfortable in creative environments, making recommendations, pushing the status-quo, and prioritizing testing.
  • Comfortable working with a remote team.
  • Capable of establishing and nurturing longstanding relationships with industry partners, media contacts, and creative professionals.
  • Proficient in summarizing sophisticated ideas and performance reports into recommendations for senior executives.


  • Salary is in the range of $100-130k depending on experience and location
